Change of accommodation
Important information:

If you have a case under process (e.g. extension of residence permit) and your address changed during this, you DO NOT HAVE TO start a new accommodation change case, only submit the new documents to the current case.

Substitution or replacement of the resident permit
Substitution of residence permit
If one of your personal data (e.g. in surname because of marriage/divorce) has been changed, or it is misspelled ont he residence permit, you have to apply for a substitution.
Important:
In case of any change in your name, firstly you must apply for new passport. Please, submit the application for substitution of residence permit after this, with the new passport
1.and fill out the application from HERE.
2.Bring your official documents to support the changed data or the correct version of your(e.g. marriage certificate, birth certificate) along with the valid passport containing the changed personal data.
3.You can submit your application in person at the regional directorate according to your place of accommodation.
4.You can pay the procedural fee by card when submitting the application (20 000 HUF)
Replacement of the residence permit card
If your permit was lost, destroyed, stolen or damaged, you have to apply for a replacement.
Important:
If the residence permit has been lost or stolen abroad, you must apply for the replacement of the permit at the consulate of Hungary (if the permit has been stolen, the application must be accompanied by a police report). You must have a valid passport to be able to apply for the replacement.If it is also lost, first of all you must replace the passport, then you can report the loss of residence permit.

Exemption from payment of application procedure fees
1. issue of residence permit or extension of residence permit of Ukrainian citizens
2. issue of residence permit or extension of residence permit for purpose of studies, or employment of Belorussian citizens
3. applications for issue or extension of residence permits for purpose of studies of those, who receive Hungarian State Scholarship e.g. Stipendium Hungaricum, or the ones who have study-purpose ministerial sponsorship

Registration/Sign-in
Important!
Notifications regarding your case will be sent to your e-mail. Therefore please use an e-mail address during the registration, that you check often.

Choose application for residence permit, then study or student mobilty.

Procedure is free of charge in the following cases:
Important!
if none of the above mentioned conditions are applicable in your case you have to choose „no”!
Extension: if you would like to extend a previous residence permit, that is still valid.
First application: if you apply for your first residence permit, or if you apply for new residence permit after the expiry/withdrawal of your previous one.

Give your general data
Fill out all of the obligatory fields.

Indicate your purpose of staying in Hungary
then fill out all of the mandatory fields

Upload all the mandatory enclosure to your Enter Hungary case
During the upload, please follow the following steps:
IMPORTANT:
during this step you upload the file only to your storage, NOT to your case!
You have to select the type and give a name to the document. Under the „Name” of the document you can select the file that you want to upload. (In this example the file has been already selected and the name of it is „Esztike”) After you have selected the file, click on „upload”.
7. step
Click on the „SUBMIT” button to start your online procedure! After this, your application is submitted.
Important:
There will be 4 main steps, until the case starts.
1. „SUBMITTED” only means, that your applicasion has been sent to the authority.
2. You will get a notification about recording request! At this point (if you have not already) you shall submit a high-quality photograph.
3. After this, when the authirity accepts the application, you will get a notification on delivery acceptance.
4. Please remember, that your case only starts after the notification of reception! An application shall be considered received only after you:
a) have paid the application fee (if the proceeding is subject to a fee); and
b) your facial likeness and fingerprint has been taken at the latest within 15 days of the date of notification on delivery acceptance.
